The Leopold Bros Maryland Style Rye is an homage to a Pre-Prohibition regional style of whiskey making that has been lost for over fifty years Immensely popular with Union Soldiers stationed in Washington DC during the Civil War, Maryland rye became renowned for its softer, fruitier character and its reputation only grew from there. The resulting spirit is fruity and floral at its core with a soft, buttery finish that emulates the rye whiskies of Maryland’s historic past.

American Mountain Corn Whiskey 1 Liter Bottle - $49.99
A little over six years ago, we had some leftover corn at the distillery that needed to get used and decided to take a stab at distilling some of our local mountain corn into a similar style—adding in 20% of our Leopold Bros floor malt for an extra creaminess. Creamy like corn whiskey should be, but with more oak and a tinge of grit from that mountain corn, the punchiness from the higher-than-normal proof adds a nice balance to the sweetness of the corn/barley mash and the oak. It’s the perfect whiskey for a beer and shot.

8 Year Old Cask Strength Three Chamber Finished Bourbon - $59.99
The Leopold Bros 8 year old cask strength Bourbon is not just the oldest whiskey we’ve released in our history, it’s also the highest in proof. At over 55% ABV, it has more punch and concentration than anything we’ve released previously. Todd put the resulting Bourbon back into freshly-dumped Three Chamber rye barrels and that extra maturation was just what this whiskey needed. Flavors of sweet grains and graham crackers, along with an oiliness from the viscosity of the rye whiskey finish, coat this whiskey like icing on a cake.

Most gins are made by simultaneously distilling juniper and other botanicals within the same still. However, when boiled together, certain botanicals are overworked, resulting in the extraction of tannin-like flavors that dry out the gin, while other flavors are not fully realized. Leopold distills each botanical—juniper, coriander, pommelos, orris root, Valencia oranges, and more—separately to bring out only the purest flavors and aromas, then blends each individual distillate back together for a softer and brighter spirit.

Gin No. 25 - $34.99
Originally designed as a limited edition, one-time-only release to celebrate Todd Leopold’s 25th anniversary in the distillation arts, the overriding popularity of the Gin No. 25 has kept it around continuously. In fact, many Leopold Bros fanatics consider it to be the best gin we make. Using Santa Catarina’s Green and Red Mandarin Oranges separately, then blending the two distillates together to create the final gin. the citrus and floral notes are dialed up to full blast. In addition, we finish the Gin with earthy and savory notes using Orris Root, Juniper, Sri Lankan White Pepper, and South African Rooibos Tea.

American Orange Liqueur - $34.99
Leopold Bros. steeps Curaçao and Bergamot oranges in spirit, then carefully distills the oranges in a forty gallon still, separating the clean citrus aromas from the bitterness that is inherent in the citrus pith. The resulting distillate rests in glass carboys, which softens the flavors and relaxes the mouthfeel. The liqueur is then sweetened with agave, but remains drier than other orange liqueurs. The Belgian candy sugar gives it a bit of a lasting confectioner’s finish. Leopold Bros. American Orange enlivens spirits of all varieties from whiskey, to tequila, to fernet, to gin, and more.

Sour Lime Cordial - $34.99
Sourced from the orchards along the Gulf Coast of Veracruz de Ignacio de la Llave, Persian limes yield a fresh aroma reminiscent of fresh lilacs. We distill these fragrant limes in an Eau de Vie still, adding a touch of cane sugar and house-made lactic acid to lend this cordial its intensely tart finish. This cordial mixes beautifully in all manner of mezcal, tequila, and rum drinks. Try it as a substitute for lime juice to elevate a cocktail from ordinary, to memorable. Mix it with ginger beer to create a Sour Lime Buck with stunning results, or pour some into the neck of a cold lager instead of a wedge.

Maraschino Liqueur - $34.99
In the tradition of fruit brandies, we start by macerating and fermenting small Marasca cherries from Croatia and distill the resulting cherry mash. We then add coriander and Montmorency cherry distillate and sweeten the blend with honey to create a soft and subtle liqueur with mild almond-like notes that are derived from the cherry pits. You will find the beauty of this liqueur in the nose when adding it to classic cocktails.

Orange Blossom Cordial - $34.99
The Leopold Bros Orange Blossom Cordial starts with individual double-distillations of blood oranges and neroli—an orange blossom oil that has been produced for hundreds of years—which are blended together and sweetened with Belgian candi sugar to finish. Distilling the neroli separately from the blood oranges gives us greater control over the final blending, and the addition of Belgian candi sugar transforms the flavor of the Andalusian citrus into a confectionery tang.

New England Tart Cranberry Liqueur - $36.99
Using two different varieties of cranberries grown primarily in famous cranberry bogs, the Leopold Brothers juice the cranberries, and blend them with their own eaux-de-vie to make this award-winning liqueur. A small amount of sugar cane is added is balance out the tartness of the cranberry. To preserve the integrity of flavor and vibrant red color, it is entirely bottled by hand.

Three Pins Alpine Herbal Liqueur - $36.99
Traditionally, distillers in mountainous regions forage their local valleys and forests for the herbs, roots, and flowers to produce herbal liqueurs. We use a blend of botanicals found throughout the Rocky Mountains. These botanicals are married with ginger root, clove, and honey, resulting in a complex herbal liqueur with warming spice and floral notes. Leopold Bros. Three Pins Alpine Herbal Liqueur derives its name from old fashioned telemark ski bindings that were secured by exactly three pins, and thus is intended as a nod to the traditions of the Rocky Mountains.

Sour Apple Liqueur - $36.99
Created from a blend of apples from the state of New York, we mix the juice of the apples with cane sugar and naturally produced lactic acid. This adds a refreshing tartness to the to the finish of this liqueur. It's ideal for when acidity is needed, but not citrus in a cocktail. Nicely paired with vodka, and it blends perfectly with any sherry or rum cocktail.

Blackberry Liqueur - $44.99
Using blackberries from the northwestern region of the Rocky Mountains, Leopold Bros. creates a rich and complex liqueur that can be used in cocktails, and in cooking. The deep purple color is derived from the juice of the blackberries themselves rather than food coloring or artificial additives. To preserve the integrity of the spirit, Leopold Bros. bottles the liqueur by hand.

New York Apple Whiskey - $36.99
The best apple varieties are picked, juiced, and blended with our whiskey, creating a supple and warm spirit. The apples oxidize in charred American oak barrels, where notes of dried fruit, apricots and raisins are developed. The spirit is naturally colored by the barrel and apple juice used, and not by artificial coloring agents. Lastly, it is bottled by hand to maintain the integrity of the tart apples, and round caramel finish.

Rocky Mountain Blackberry Whiskey - $44.99
The finest blackberries from the northern Rocky Mountain region are harvested over the summer, juiced, and blended with our whiskey, creating an intensely rich spirit. The whiskey then rests in charred American oak barrels where notes of vanilla, raisin, and oak are pulled from the barrel itself, flavoring the whiskey. Naturally colored by the barrel and the blackberry juice without additives or artificial coloring.

Georgia Peach Whiskey - $36.99
Sweet Georgia peaches are added straight to Leopold Bros. new-make whiskey when they are at the height of summer flavor. The whiskey and peaches are then allowed to age in used bourbon barrels, where the flavors marry and develop into a delicious and complex liquor with nuanced notes of oak, raisin, vanilla, and of course, peach. Aromatic and delicious, this unusual whiskey liquor is filtered to the bare minimum, so that the peach juice mingles fully with the whiskey even when bottled. Perfect for a plethora of summer cocktails.

Michigan Cherry Whiskey - $36.99
Before Prohibition, many American distillers added small amounts of fruit juices to sweeten the whiskey as it aged in wooden barrels. We revive this classic style of whiskey production by juicing world-renowned Montmorency tart cherries from Michigan, and blending the juice with our whiskey. The spirit then rests in our used bourbon barrels, giving the flavors time to marry and mature while drawing out notes of vanilla, marzipan, and spice from the barrels. Like all Leopold Bros. spirits, this is bottled by hand, to preserve the bright cherry flavor, full burgundy color, and soft whiskey finish.

Aperitivo Classico - $34.99
In line with the traditional Italian style, the spirit centers around major flavor components: bitterness from gentian root and sweetness from cane sugar. Citrus is the third major component, so we add distilled coriander and grapefruit peels to give Leopold Bros. Aperitivo a bright, citrus aroma. We mix these components with a variety of fragrant flowering botanicals, including hyssop and Artemsia pontica. We then color the cordial with natural cochineal, which adds the vibrant red color that one expects from traditional Aperitivi as it has been used in spirits for hundreds of years.

Aperitivo Bianco - $34.99
Given the demand we’ve seen for our Aperitivo Classico from Negroni lovers looking for an additive free alternative for their bitter, it was just a matter of time before fans of the Negroni Bianco began asking us about a white version of our liqueur. We start the process with individual distillations of marigolds, chamomile, and lemongrass. Those spirits are then blended for balance of flavor before we add gentian root for bitterness and allow it to steep. Finally, we add just enough cane sugar to create a harmony of fruitiness, herbaceousness, bitterness and sweetness, with a little more punch on the ABV at 30%.

Absinthe - $64.99
Our Absinthe Verte is produced following the traditions of 19th Century European master distillers. That means we start with a grape distillate base (in our case imported Chilean Pisco), and add the required ingredients to constitute absinthe: anise seed, fennel, and grande wormwood. Other botanicals are also added to our small batch still. Following distillation of this blend, we naturally color the result by steeping the distillate in coloring herbs such as lemon balm and hyssop.

25th Anniversary Limited Releases
Three Chamber Pear Brandy Eau de Vie - $69.99
Starting with Bartlett pears from California’s region, we mash and ferment the fruit in-house, after which we extract the maximum flavor and texture with our Three Chamber still. From there, we dilute the spirit slowly, as adding water too quickly to any eau de vie causes the oils to separate. As a result, we have to be especially careful with our extra-oily Three Chamber distillate.

Three Chamber Peach Liqueur - $59.99
It’s been over 200 years since fruit brandy was distilled on a Three Chamber still and we can promise you our new peach brandy liqueur was definitely worth the wait. Using Talbott farm peaches from Colorado’s Rocky Mountain western slope, we believe the intensity of flavor achieved in this distillate is beyond anything we’ve tasted from the Three Chamber Still thus far.

Seeking a vessel that would allow for such an homage, we reached out to our friends at New Belgium Brewing who, as luck would have it, had a gigantic French oak foeder they were willing to part with. We knew exactly what we wanted to fill it with from the moment it arrived, as we had been experimenting in advance: 8 year old Three Chamber rye whiskey with 5 year old Maryland style rye whiskey at full proof. The viscosity and weight of the Three Chamber rye adds depth and body to our Maryland style rye whiskey, flushing it out with added sweetness and viscosity. Think baking spices and stone fruits galore.
